Monroe Hosts International Festival to Honor Variety of Cultures

Monroe Elementary Language Academy held its third annual International Festival last week. There were special performances by Monroe's Ballet Folklorico dance group, a cultural fashion show, a Boys and Girl's Club performance, a dragon dance from Bolsa Grande students, a Polynesian dance from Los Amigos students, and a performance by the Rancho Alamitos mariachi group. Monroe's school community enjoyed delicious food, great performances, and booths put together by each classroom highlighting a specific country - its people, culture, and history.
